Wynna is the eldest daughter of the noble VanScyl family hailing from  Ultner. The VanScyls immigrated to Ambehgris 520 AN, as a gesture of investment in the colony by the Ultner Chewick Line which subsidizes the family estate. UCL’s waning contact with Ambehgris has caused the family to now question their allegiance back to the homelands. 

Wynna is a ravishing beauty with the features of Kennefel nobility mixed with the darker features of Northern influences. She is quite aware of her charismatic influence, and while she holds most nobility in mild disdain, she is not above using her charms to get what she wants. Her true interests are torn between intellectual and more worldly interests. 

Her Uncle Jasper on her mother’s side, has joined three voyages to Hatterwol, and Wynna accompanied him on two. While visiting the distant port of Rastenfeld, her Uncle attempted to make an arranged marriage for the young Wynna to the well heeled noble Campu family in a bid to create more formal ties between the UCL and Hatterwolese society. However, what seemed like an exotic adventure to Wynna on the first voyage, had faded as the dull reality of an arranged marriage became more apparent to her on the second. Thumbing her nose at the societal expectations on her second visit, she conspired with her young paramour to do everything they could to upset the social balance between their parents, and effectively disrupted the betrothal.

Wynna returned to Ambehgris thankful to have avoided a stultifying arranged marriage, though she grows listless and bored with the even the constant parade of social events the city brings to her door. Taking some inspiration from the wide diversity of peoples trafficking through Ambehgris, she has become a bit of a scholar in recent years, seeking out any books she can find on neighboring cultures hoping to find some seed of a calling to a more interesting life.

Wynna often can be found in her family estate in The Hayford Ways, however she ventures into the city frequently, either to mingle in the more intellectual cafe’s and book emporiums and just as often indulging in the continuous flow of celebrations and festivals in the city.

Gnetchal Fellhammer, her childhood nurse and later maidservant, is in her employ as a maid and secretary.
