World History

After the Cargothen (AC) > 0

The time after the Cargothen device was detonated by Kondo. 

  • Kondo Dentonates the Cargothen 0 AC

    Despite advocating that people abandon most technology Kondo is convinced by an advisor by the name of Ranoleen that he must use a powerful and ecologically disastrous weapon called the Cargothen to defeat the Stone King. He uses the weapon, defeats the king and in the process destroys most of the known world. The device was detonated somewhere in the desert regions in the middle of the kingdom, the exact location has been lost to time.

  • The Emergence of Strange Beasts 5 AC

    In the aftermath strange creatures where said to arise and giant beasts began to stalk the land. 

  • Kondo Builds the New World 50 AC

    The only survivors of the Cargothen where Kondo and his followers. Kondo declares that they will build a new world, one where man lives in balance with nature.

  • The Citadels are Built 500 AC

    The Citadels are built as part of a new world where the population is booming after the mass death caused by the Cargothen. They were built to hold lots of people, today they are still in use but feel vast and empty as they are far larger than required by the current population.

  • Fertility Decline 1100 AC

    Fertility rates begin to decline dramatically. Soon the population of the known world is dwindling at an alarming rate. No one knows why.

  • Knowledge Drain 1800 AC

    As the population begins to plummet knowledge starts to get lost as people die off without anyone to pass it on to.

  • The Society of the Bond is Founded 1900 AC

    The society was originally formed to preserve and control scientific knowledge, so that knowledge was not used to destroy the world again. The plummeting population meant that there weren’t enough people to preserve all the knowledge by conventional means and dedicated organisation needed to be created to ensure the survival of those expertise.

  • The War of the Kingdoms 2580 AC

    The world has split into many kingdoms and they begin to battle each other for power and control of the means of energy production.

  • The Carnhold Come to Power 2680

    The current ruling dynasty is victorious and many of the former kingdoms become baronies now ruled by the Carnhold dynasty.

  • The War with the Lands of the Shemka 3342 AC

    Some areas remained independent and for a long time the people who rode across the steppes where free from royal control but as the former kingdoms fell all around them these nomadic tribes sensed the way things were going. When the kings forces came they staged a short guerrilla war before coming to terms that many regard as generous with the king and swearing allegiance to the Carnhold.

  • The Death of King Golam Carnold 3831 AC

    The king dies in mysterious circumstances that have never fully been unraveled, the official cause of death was given as a heart attack but there are many that doubt the claim as the king was young and healthy.  

  • Corination of King Reton Carnhold 3832 AC

    The King Reton Carnhold comes to power at the tender age of nine after the unexpected death of his father. 

  • The War with the North 3882 AC

    The vast north was the last hold out against the new kingdom. The House of Sleth and the old families of the North gathered an army and withdrew to defend the citadel of Snowpan. They were defeated and forced to swear allegiance.

  • The Treaty of the North 3991 AC

    The treaty saw the lands of the House of Sleth cut in half with half given to the kings general Karana who helped defeat the Sleth and now ruled over houses formerly loyal to them. Other parts of the Sleth’s land helped create the new principalities.

  • The New Principalities 4000 AC

    After the war with the North the king was in a position of supreme and unchallenged power. He used this power to create new principalities for his children to rule over. The general consensus is that he wanted to see how each one ruled before naming a successor.

  • Present Day 4041 AC

  • Age of Unbalance 10000 BC

    An age where man and his excessive use of technology threw the world out of balance. This is the age where the great steeds were genetically engineered, buildings covered the earth, humanity polluted the planet, and all was nearly lost.

  • Rise of the Stone King 300 BC

    The Stone King was an ancient leader who promoted the use of technologies and the unweaving of the fabric of nature.

  • Kondo vs the Stone King 50 BC

    Kondo is a leader who rose up and challenged the rule of the Stone King. He was against the excessive use of technology and polluting of the lands that the king promoted. Kondo declared war on the Stone King and a vicious and bloody conflict followed which engulfed all the lands.
