The group started with some tea at Kai's Tea House, discussing their origins and motivations to work for Lady Trudgeon. Everything went perfectly fine. Oris was kind enough to invite everyone to the tea and snacks.

They followed up with visiting Lady Trudgeon, confirming Patrick the bard's participation, as well as a contract for a student or two from The Bells to come perform a light show. The weather was too bad for the group to visit the Greens and ask some local fireflies. Lady Trudgeon, nervous about the late food delivery, asked the group to travel south to Juniper Grove and find the delivery, providing horses for them to ride.

The mix of the morning's coffee and afternoon tea gave our heroes renewed energy to make it to Juniper Grove in record time, just shortly after sunset. The northern gate was guarded by a farmer and his daughter. Oris introduced the party and five horses, despite them only traveling with four. Once in town, they found the only inn and were greeted by Julie, who recognised Sett from several years ago. The group ended up getting three rooms, Ratyn preferring to sleep alone.

From Julie, they gathered that the person in charge of the deivery, Zachary Parsons, went out to the south without taking the delivery two days prior. Ratyn and Christopher investigated the carriage, looking for clues, but were unsuccessful. They did meet Hamond in the hay, which Julie had warned them about. Oris set out his familiar as a bat to ask for help from the local bats.

During the night, some of them were visited by visions of childhood friends asking them to come down to the woods in exchange for gifts. The next morning, after a quick breakfast, Oris communicated with a local bat called Greg Weakjaw, confirming that Zacharie went to the forest into some cave.

With the initial help of the bats and later from Ratyn, they found the cave entrance. Zacharie's horse was dead, partially eaten by wolves. In the dark cave, they heard footsteps and chimes. The group ventured deeper, Christopher at the front, finding Zacharie, exhausted and dehydrated, dancing in a circle and will-o'wisp like creatures producing the chime sounds and dancing with him. A woman lies on the floor, and the group heard voices asking them to dance with them.
