The party returned to the feline-infested caves, only to find them abandoned, with just a few prisoners left behind, scrapping with each other to see who would be eaten next.

One, a former member of the cattish gang himself, revealed he may be able to and willing help attack the rest of the fleeing feline humanoids. Struggling to pronounce his name, the party labelled him Whiskers and guided him to the secret passage in the former leader's room, keen to see if that was a possible route towards the headquarters of whoever was running the show in this valley.

Another prisoner, an impeccable specimen of human musculature with a worrying amount of spittle in his beard, the party let go. Alfredward handed him a spear and pointed him in a direction where the cat gang might have headed. Quite sanely, the man charged off with nothing but that spear and presumably hardy soles.

The secret passage took the party into a familiar series of mist-filled tunnels. Taking a different tack from last time, the party closed their eyes and kept taking right turns. Whiskers' finely-tuned nose alerted them to a couple of groups of large smouldering beetles, and they dealt with them without much hassle.

Eventually they came to a much larger chamber tastefully decorated with bones, and they found themselves assailed by a large bull-headed being. They were more terrified than they needed to be as they swamped it and brought the thing down with barely a scratch. Helping themselves to a wonderful collection of treasures and magic items, including a healing staff, the party returned home triumphant.
