Expedition 27 - Koko's Account

We returned to the crew's keep, my dwarven lieutenant suggested my warrior recover as he'd taken some injuries, my thief seemed to recover but still looks like a nearby sneeze will take him out.

Rather than venture out, the crew decided to explore the lower levels of the keep, apart from the dwarf who decided to dangle himself down the well, such is the way of the shorter folk.

Our first encounter was with the rowdy bunch of orcs in the basement that had been kept prisoner, but smooth talking and the offer of gold soon rid them of their fury and they returned to their beds.

The hieroglyphics seemed to confuse the crew, and they took to taking blind chances in their posturing to find the secrets of the crypt, one prayed to a statue and was rewarded with a mouthful of poison, which inflicted an Elf who'd appeared from somewhere.

Master Dommo had advised there was a statue elsewhere that could provide clarity and indeed it revealed a trap door that took us to yet more undiscovered crypts, and we came across a ghostly presence, Dommo had recalled once a talking painting and his ghost seemed to be the same person, they regaled us with some information about freeing him trapped as a spirit.

Lady Death had a shrine nearby, but the crew ignored it, my chaotic teachings would recommend that as the key to freeing the ghost but I was ignored, some day they will learn.

Raiding the crypts gave us plenty of loot, my army was pleased with their takings, afterwards I prayed to the chasms of limbo and was blessed with knowledge of divine magic, the ability to heal should bring plenty of coin to the coffers of chaos later.
