We've done it. We own a castle! Well. It will soon be a castle - its more of a dilapidated manor-house manor-house for now.
It did come at a cost. Amos, my adventuring buddy and friend, fell to a couple of beasts from hell - I have no idea why they were in the castle but they did a number on us. Peach fell too. As soon as I feel like we've got this adventuring and surviving business figured out, one of us ends up dying and reminding us that we are, after all, mortal.
Anyhow, musn't linger on the memories of the dead. Not healthy for the soul that is. We've got to keep looking ahead, to the future, to our future.
Rarder has big plans for the castle. I think Amos' death hit him hard - as soon as we got back to Redwood he dove headfirst into drawing up plans and writing letters - it is clear that he want to make sure that this newly acquired base was not taken in vain. I look forward to see what he comes up with, and I am keen to keep climbing the social ladder.
