Vorkur

Demihuman

The humans look at me, and I see fear. When an elf passes me on the street, they show indifference. And when I meet an orc, their face is filled with pity. But when I see myself, I only see the greatness and potential that they do not recognize. But one day they will.

About

The child of an orc and an elf is less common than the child of elves and humans , but not unheard of. The orcs call them Vorkur, and to the elves they are known as Terekein. They combine the methodicalness of the orcs, and the spontaneity of the elves.

Like the offspring of humans and elves, vorkur have no culture of their own to identify with, and tend to adapt to either their orcish or elven heritage.  With neither elves nor orcs having any definitive land to call their own, vorkur can be found almost anywhere, although they are rare.

Special Abilties

Outsider: Most races are distrustful of vorkur for some reason. They subtract 2 from Persuasion rolls with all but others of their kind.

Elven vision: Like their elven ancestors, vorkur eyes amplify light. They ignore penalties for Dim and Dark Illumination.

Versatile - Athletics: Combining the toughness of orcs with the grace of elves, Vorkur start with a d6 in Athletics. The skill's maximum increases to d12+1.

Orcish Size: Sharing the size of their orcish ancestors, vorkur have a +1 Toughness.
