Chamber of Arcane

Government

The Chamber of Arcane is a bastion of magical knowledge and influence, one of the three legislative bodies of the Imperial government. The original chamber was formed by thirteen skilled wizards, all veteran battlemages of various imperial conflicts. The inception of the chamber was spurred by the recognition of the importance of arcane arts in the Empire's victories during these times.

Today, the chamber still consists of 13 wizards. They are carefully curated to include only those with significant arcane prowess, and excludes Magewrights, emphasizing the need for expertise and mastery in the arcane arts to hold legislative authority. With military roots, they historically held significant influence over military strategy and the development of arcane technologies.

The Chamber of Arcane assumes responsibilities related to magical legislation, the oversight of enchanted artifacts, and ensuring the ethical use of arcane power. While maintaining independence, it collaborates with the other chambers for cohesive governance.

Together with the Governors' Chamber and Lords' Chamber, they have veto power over the Emperor.
