Montgomery Castle once stood a fair distance from River City, but the edges of the city have crept up around the expansive estate. The 13th-century castle was imported, stone by stone, from Scotland by Stanford Montgomery in the early 20th century, shortly before his death. The castle remains in the family despite their greatly reduced fortune. It’s now the home of Felicia Montgomery and her daughter Carleigh.
