Emperor of Valoria. Second-born son of Marik Maxentius, and brother of Marcus Maxentius.
Calvus Maxentius became Emperor of Valoria on 6/8/1231 after the death of his father, Marik Maxentius. Calvus inherited the throne due to the fact that his older brother, Marcus Maxentius, had taken the Rift Warden’s Oath, which removed Marcus from the line of succession. Calvus is the first Emperor in 200 years to not be paired with a griffin mount. Rumor has it that this has decreased his popularity with the military rank and file.
Born in the year 1207 SE.
He takes some counsel from the Dowager Empress, Cornelia Maxentius, but has resolutely been trying to forge his own path.
He has re-assigned several generals in order to consolidate his power over the military.
Many of the common folk are concerned that the delicate peace with Amarak will falter without the careful hand of Marik to be a voice of reason.
Despite having no military experience to speak of, Calvus has already raised a legion and named it after himself.
Calvus has lowered the tax rate on the lower and middle classes.
